Blessing Muzarabani led the bowling chart for Zimbabwe Select as they beat Pakistan Shaheens by 80 runs to go 2-0 up in six-match one-day series in Harare today.
Set to chase 237 runs in the second game, Shaheens' batting collapsed despite a worthy effort from skipper Imran Butt.
Butt's tiring effort to score 45 runs went in vain as other batters lost wickets after regular intervals. Tendai Chatara picked up opener Saim Ayub on the very first delivery to provide a dream start to the hosts while defending.
Saim, who made his international debut just a couple of months ago, failed in his second consecutive innings on this tour.
Mohammad Hurraira, who scored 158 in the first four-dayer on this tour, scored a quick 33 but Muzarabani trapped him in the 10th over to provide a solid breakthrough to his team.
Butt continued to dominate from the front but his fellow batters threw their wickets regularly. Mubasir Khan resisted a bit in the end but he could only score 44 before falling to Sean Williams.
Muzarabani bagged four wickets while Victor Nyauchi and Williams took two wickets each.
Earlier, Zimbabwe set Shaheens a target of 237 runs. The home side were dismissed for 236 in 38.5 overs after Shaheens won the toss and decided to field first.
Pacer Aamer Jamal was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan with figures of 5-75 in 10 overs. Meanwhile, Shahnawaz Dahani claimed 2-36 in eight overs.
Tailender Blessing Muzarabani was the highest run-scorer for Zimbabwe after smashing 50 runs in only 24 balls. His explosive knock included seven fours and two sixes.
Ryan Burl (47 runs in 60 balls) and Clive Madande (43 runs in 44 balls) were the other prominent contributors with the bat for Zimbabwe.
It must be noted that Zimbabwe defeated Shaheens by 24 runs during the first one-day of the six-match series in Harare on Wednesday.
Chasing a target of 235 runs, Pakistan Shaheens were dismissed for 210 in 47 overs.
